About Sue Thomson
Sue Thomson
Photographic Artist / Poet
"Observing the ordinary and finding something extraordinary within them!"
Sue Thomson believes in living life to the fullest! She is a full-time Teaching Assistant at a middle school and the Minister of Worship at Trinity in Rolling Meadows. For a number of years Sue was using her own photography for the Power Point worship presentations at church. Last year, after receiving encouragement from those around her, Sue started her own business and named it "Spiritual Focus Photography". She works through her home studio and is an active presence on the internet with her business website, WordPress blog and Facebook Page.
Last year, Sue was juried into the Northwest Cultural Council and has exhibited at the Woodfield Chicago Northwest Convention Bureau, the NWCC Home Gallery and has an upcoming exhibit at the Rolling Meadows Library. Her work has been on display at the Arlington Heights Historical Society and the Arlington Heights Village Hall. Sue has also done the photography that decorates the walls of the Center for Wellness in Mundelein. Most recently Sue opened a NWCC Multi-Artist Walk-In Art Gallery in her husband's Kraft-Thomson Allstate Insurance Agency at 9 N. Vail Street in Downtown Arlington Heights!
Sue's passion for photography not only embraces nature and the world around her, but she also loves to take her own original photos and manipulates them into her intriguing "Collide-a-Scope" art pieces! In addition, Sue writes poetry to complement many of her pieces and has now expanded her business to include custom work for clients.
